In our Castello you can celebrate your civil wedding by choosing the location you prefer the most among our Gardens, the Church and Cantina dei Frati wine cellar. Let yourselves be carried away by the evocative atmosphere of these wonderful and sensational places.

You can also organise your civil ceremony at the seaside resort just 4 km from Castello to make the event even more unique with exciting photo shoots on the golden beach.

Brunch
on the beach

If the idea appeals to you and you would like to enjoy the magical wedding on soft sand and in the pleasant sea breeze for longer, you can also have a great brunch at the same beach the following day.

religious ceremony

To avoid long car trips, it is possible to celebrate the religious ceremony at historic churches located a few kilometres from Castello, so that your guests can comfortably reach the wedding reception room in a few minutes after the ceremony.

Spring

The period of time from March to May is perfect to celebrate the daytime wedding. This is the most popular type of wedding due to more daylight hours that allow the extension of the celebrations and the mild temperature that makes pleasant moments like enjoying an aperitif in the garden in outdoor spaces.

Perfumes and colours

Natural light will make your photo shoot flawless. In addition, you will be surrounded by the enveloping spring perfumes and colours of the blooming trees accompanied by the melodic chirping of birds among the branches. You will also be pampered by the perfumes of orange blossom from the 40 hectares of orange grove.

after party

The most windy and cold days will not hinder the celebration, because it will always be possible to spend the after party in the orangery, a space that overlooks the Ionian area and that will shelter you from the wind and the cold allowing you to continue to celebrate in peace.

Summer

The evening wedding takes place between the first ten days of June and the first ten days of September. We are in the middle of the summer with warmer and sunnier days that are perfect to take advantage of the most of the outdoor spaces and take fantastic photos at the structure exposed to the sunset.

Elegance

The evening setting will be more elegant than the day, the light is softer, the guests’ elegant formal dresses will add a classy touch and romanticism to the atmosphere.

Cake cutting

The evening party will be more lively and youthful accompanied by dancing and celebration until late at night with the magical moment of toast and cake cutting.

During years...

The white pearl Dehor was built in 2015 and it will turn into an orangery. This room enhances the right contrast between ancient and modern, creating a fresh stylistic combination with a glamorous and romantic result. Here you can choose to hold the wedding service, or simply have an aperitif.

Rectangular hall crossed by a single nave. It will create the perfect play of light for your wedding lunch/dinner that you can choose to have here. Otherwise, this hall can become the taste itinerary for your guests, accompanied by the welcome aperitif offered by our kitchen.

Large courtyard whose flooring was rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century. It will be the perfect setting for the wedding lunch/dinner where guests will spend the day, exactly in the same place where the Benedictine monks once stayed. The perfect itinerary to taste our welcome aperitif that will start the lovely day at Castello San Basilio.

Once a lawn, then it was floored in 2019. It offers the opportunity to have the wedding dinner outdoors in the cool breeze from the peaks of Pollino, clearly visible at sunset. In this square it is also possible to carry out the final part of the service, i.e. the tasting of the dessert buffet, being involved in the fantastic scenography of string lights.

The melodic song of cicadas will accompany your civil ceremony creating a fairytale atmosphere in which guests will be surrounded by the bright green of Castello. Here you can also hold the so-called “after party” which is the final but no less important part of the event, enjoying a great cocktail prepared by our expert bartenders.
